About us
SENDaWelcome run projects that help to build awareness and understanding of the issues people with learning disabilities face.

Who we are
SENDaWelcome was started by a group of parents whose children all have learning disabilities.

We believe that by making our community aware of the issues faced by children with SEND, their parents and carers, local people could create a community that celebrates and values neurodiversity.

We wanted businesses and organisations be given the skills to welcome people with learning disabilities.

We wanted to empower local people to make changes that are good for everyone in the community, not just people with learning disabilities.
