There is a huge lack of equal access and opportunities and this often results in children with SEND being isolated from the activities, social networks and benefits open to their own brothers and sisters.
It’s this precise lack that prompted us to set up SENDaWelcome last year. We believe that children with special educational needs and disabilities should be able to join local clubs and groups as easily as everyone else. They should be as involved and visible in their community as everyone else.
